Traveling day. Destination: Palmyra, New York.
When we got to Palmyra it was pouring down rain. We were staying at a fairground/campground. They let us set up tents inside a large building. It was interesting but kids were thrilled they didn’t have to camp in the rain.
After a few games of catch we split into two groups. Half went to get our seats saved for the pageant and the other half went in search of dinner (we were way under budget at this point). We found pizza. Good pizza, too. After dinner we loaded up and went to the pageant. It was wonderful (I found out later that my mom’s cousin was in it, wish I would have known that!). Although it didn’t rain on us, thankfully, the ground was soaked. I suppose wet feet is something we can live with.
