One of my favorite scriptures. Thirteen years ago I was very pregnant and felt like I gained a new appreciation for Mary. This Christmas season I have thought much of Christ's mother and what she must have gone through watching her beloved son suffer so much pain and then she was with Him as He died. How heartbreaking for her that must of been. I wonder if she felt as I have as a mother, especially this past month, a strength that was not her own. I find myself drawing from her courage and faith. Once again I'm grateful for a Father in Heaven that thinks of everything, even providing strength to a broken-hearted mother.
